25/26-54 Benches in the Village - Cllr. McCulloch
a) Consider request for additional bench at West End near Ash Close
b) To repair bench at West End
25/26-55 Traffic & Speeding Issues in the Village.
a) Possible Highway’s Options.
• Install ‘Chicane’ style areas with alternate flows having the right of way/priority.
• Install Humps, Tables, and Cushions along the roads in question.
• SLOW and 30, painted on the Road surface several times along the length of each end.
• Pavement build outs, although this would be limiting the on road parking (these rely on politeness of drivers to allow free flow each way.) NB we have quite a few farm machinery movements that are wide)
b) Possible Traffic Officer Options.
• Traffic police in ‘car’ with speed gun at random times, dates and locations. Have seen this last year in Maxey. Large CAMERA vans probably better used on main roads, and are publicised.
c) Possible Other Options.
• Easier and better assistance from Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership
• Greater liaison with LRSP on current practices; seeing as they may get lots of work from the CSW scheme.
d) LPC Options.
• Status Quo, has some effect but people ignore it, also most are below the Permitted limit.
• Get residents to undertake Community Speed Watch product with an agreed time window.
• Analyse/compare existing data from our published forms.
e) To resolve any outcomes from discussion.
