2025 Langtoft Village walk
Following on from the success of the 2024 parish/village walk; and as agreed previously it would be good for Langtoft residents to resume these annual walks, whereby providing a sense of purpose and a Village social activity meeting unknown residents and hopefully creating a closer community.
The date of Thursday 26th June was announced with a start time of 18:30 at the villasge hall, there would be walk leaders, and at the end a stop for light refreshments at out local hostelery
On the dry and warmish evening 21 people, some with their dogs, arrived and set off on the walk.
This year the route was down to the cross roads across the crossing, turned left and picked up the footpath adjacent to the field, along the back of the houses of East End. We then turned left connecting with the Permissive Footpath over the bridge and then turned right.
If you think the bridge is still strong give us a wave
heading towards the ancient Moat. We then turned right and walked down the side of the field, through the kissing gate arriving on Langtoft Outgang Road. Into Dear Park Road, into Lime Close and the footpath onto New Road, following the signed footpath and arriving at the edge of the cemetery, turned right and a short walk to the Waggon & Horses for well earned light refreshments.
LPC would like to say Thank you to Richard and his staff at the Waggon and Horses for helping this event to be memorable.
