P.N.R. Open day 2022

September 24th 2022

It was decided by the Penfield management committee that the site was now ready for increasing awareness, especially within our village community, along with some serious advertising, and displaying the progress that had been made in just over 15 months by the hard working volunteers. Various events were planned for the day, Wildlife Bingo, Nature Trail/Treasure hunt, easy to make Bird Feeders, all of these would be managed by various wives of volunteers and some Parish Councillors, thanks to you all for your time. Additionally there would be some displays including; Moth , Lincs Bat Group, Lincs Wildlife Trust, Langtoft Art Group, and we all hoped for decent dry weather. The event was attended by Cllr Kelham Cook Leader of  SKDC, Andy Halfhide our Parish Chairman and Rowena Everett our PCSO,

All Ready and waiting.

Following feedback from some visitors, the committee is considering such an event to be annually, maybe. It was also suggested that maybe 'Guided' walks could be arranged maybe once a month so as vistors know where to walk to get to various areas. Some people were not aware of the lovely handmade benches that exist around the site.

Please remember that all of the above work is carried out by volunteers who may attend the weekly work party sessions on Wednesday mornings, Thank you all. However they are all of an age where we need new younger participants to join us, to either do some physical work or become part of the management committee, or even both. If you are able to assist in some way please click HERE and we will willingly accept your help.
