April Round-up
A brand new partnership and new ways to make a difference!
This month, we’re marking major milestones and celebrating community spirit in action. LIVES is honoured to have been voted the headline charity for this year’s Krazy Races, which kicked off with an exciting launch event where we met the brilliant teams taking part. Our new "4 Minutes" campaign shines a spotlight on how every second counts in an emergency – and invites you to sponsor a minute this May. In Horncastle, One More Bike hosted a buzzing quiz night in our support, and we trained 30 people in bystander CPR at our Birchwood community event. Meanwhile, our volunteers in Gainsborough received their new Zoll defibrillator, completing the county-wide rollout of these life-saving devices. And don’t forget – Episode 2 of our Expert Training webinar series goes live this month!

Krazy Races
Headline Charity
We’re thrilled to announce that LIVES has been voted by the public as the headline charity for this year’s Krazy Races in Lincoln on 22nd June!
A huge thank you to everyone who cast their vote! Being chosen as the headline charity puts LIVES at the heart of this fantastic, fun-filled event and gives us a unique platform to raise awareness and vital funds for our life-saving work across Lincolnshire. We can’t wait to cheer on the teams, meet supporters, and celebrate with the community. Make sure to come and say hello – and meet our mascot, Defib Dan!

Birchwood
Bystander CPR Event
At our recent Birchwood Bystander CPR event, 30 local residents were trained in vital life-saving skills – equipping them to step in and help during a cardiac emergency. By learning how to perform CPR, each participant is now better prepared to make a difference when every second counts in their community.

Gainsborough
Completes The Defib Rollout!
A major rollout of cutting-edge defibrillators across LIVES’ volunteer Community First Responders has reached a vital milestone – with the first and final devices funded by BNA, a charitable organisation based in Lincoln. The latest to benefit is the Gainsborough district, where volunteers now carry Zoll defibrillators that are transforming emergency response in Lincolnshire’s communities.

From 7PM on Friday 16 May to 7AM on Monday 19 May, South Holland’s incredible Community First Responders will be on call for 72 hours straight — providing non-stop emergency cover as part of our On-Call-Athon. It's a powerful display of local commitment to saving lives.
Meanwhile, across the county, our Sponsor a Minute campaign runs all May long. With over 44,000 minutes of volunteer time given this month alone, could you sponsor just one? Every minute supported helps us help you when it matters most.

Every minute a LIVES volunteer is on call, someone in Lincolnshire is safer.
Because when the worst happens — a cardiac arrest, a serious fall, a stroke — it’s not the hospital that gets there first. It’s us.
Our responders are your neighbours, friends, and community members, giving their time, day and night, to be there when it matters most.
In May alone, our volunteers will give 44,640 minutes to saving lives. Could you sponsor just one?
Your support helps keep them trained, equipped, and ready — so no one faces an emergency alone.
Sponsor a minute. Support a responder. Save a life.
