As no members of the public attended Cllr. Halfide gave a short update on current issues.

Cllr. Halfhide expressed huge thanks to all village organisations and residents who helped with the Covid-19 Response Group during 2020, including the Church, WI, Parish Councillors, the 100 Volunteers,  Over the Moon mobile phone company, the village shop, simply delicious, the Waggon & Horses,  Jeannette Pearson for organising the website, LCC for equipment and anyone else in the village who contributed during this difficult year to help neighbours and friends.

Planning : key planning issue

Having come to a conclusion the BP fuel station is now going ahead.  The Parish Council will be putting pressure  for the continuation of the footpath on the west side of  the A15, to be extended to this site for safe access for villagers use.

There are further planning issues to be discussed at the Annual Parish Council meeting on 18 May.

Footpath to allotments.  footpaths linking Deeping to Bourne would be monitored.

Penfield.   The Parish Council have continually chased the official documents for the hand over of Penfield to the Parish.   Cllr. Halfhide is hopeful for news soon.

4 Way traffic lights at the crossroads.   Effectively there had been a dry run of 4 way traffic lights when recent highway maintenance works took place.   LCC had received complaints from haulers, busses and some people for the length of queues.

  1. Report from last Annual Parish Meeting.  No meeting was held in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic the 2019 minutes were noted.
  2. Open forum for questions and discussions.  As no members of the public were present no questions were received.

  • And those items mentioned above
